Washed-up Baywatch stars Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff reunite

She is said to owe $493,000 in taxes and he’s just been axed as a judge from America’s Got Talent. So it’s little wonder Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff looked keen to reminisce about their glory days during an impromptu Baywatch reunion in Los Angeles over the weekend. The actors, who played LA lifeguards in the hugely popular 1990s series, warmly embraced after bumping into each other at the eighth Annual TV Land Awards in Hollywood.

All that was missing was their red swimsuits and matching buoys.

Anderson left the show in 1997 after playing pneumatic CJ Parker for five years and is currently appearing in Dancing With The Stars.

But the 42-year-old, who has two sons with ex-husband Tommy Lee, has been plagued by reports she is in dire financial straits in recent times. It was revealed last week that the actress has failed to pay $493,000 (£320,000) in taxes, according to California officials.

The star, who appeared in the Aladdin panto at London’s New Wimbledon Theatre last year, is on the annual list of delinquent taxpayers released by the California Franchise Tax Board.

She allegedly owes the money in personal income tax. Her former co-star, who played Mitch Buchannon from 1989 to 2000, is also facing tough times of a different nature. He was cut as a judge of America’s Got Talent at the beginning of the year over concerns about his alcohol abuse. The Hoff, who appeared alongside Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan on the panel, has a history of drink trouble with a stint in rehab coming as recently as October.TV chiefs did not sack the 57-year-old, but instead failed to renew his contract amid claims his drinking had made his position untenable.

Hasselhoff offered a different explanation, though, claiming he was instead following the dream of launching a show of his own.

Baywatch made it into the Guinness Book Of World Records as the most watched TV show in the world of all time, after pulling in over 1.1billion viewers a week at its peak.

Mel B takes her thoroughly modern family to the movies

After falling pregnant with Eddie Murphy’s baby and having him instantly disown it, Mel B’s life appeared in danger of falling apart not so long ago, but two months before Angel Iris Murphy was born in April 2007, the former Spice Girl met and fell in love with a music producer and things took a massive upturn. At the Furry Vengeance movie premiere in LA, Mel B looked the picture of happiness – a beautiful mother-of-two alongside her proud husband Stephen Belafonte. He brought along his daughter Giselle to make up a very modern family, three young girls – all with different fathers.

Mel B’s eldest daughter Phoenix, 11, is from her first marriage to Dutch dancer, Jimmy Gulzar. Belafonte was also wearing a big smile and the reason was quite apparent – Mel’s nicely contoured figure was highlighted by a figure-hugging dress. According to recent reports, the former pop star is keen to have another child before the end of the year. She said to Now magazine: ‘I definitely want more kids by the end of this year or next year – now feels right to have another. I’m quite a strict mum because I started young and I’m a single parent, so I had to be both dad and mum. But I’m goofy, too. Phoenix is always: “Don’t say that!” It’s embarrassing.

House star Hugh Laurie reveals: Staying in Hollywood has put strain on my marriage

Hugh Laurie has spoken expansively for the first time about the strain his successful Hollywood career has put on his marriage.

In a rare comment about his private life, the star of the hit medical drama House admitted the toll it had taken on his personal life.

The 50-year-old star spends most of his time in Los Angeles while his wife Jo has remained at their north London home. Laurie, who is notoriously reticent to talk about his family, spoke about the pressure of living apart from his wife and family with U.S. magazine Parade. He was asked about spending more time on the set than at home, and replied: ‘I wouldn’t say that doing the series has made my marriage easier. Better? I don’t know about that either. Doing weekly TV is like joining the Navy and going on the other side of the world for ten months of the year. But the truth is that whatever challenging situation you’re in, somebody somewhere has got a much more extreme version. So I think one ought to shut up and not moan about it.’ As grumpy Dr Gregory House, now in its sixth year, he is also the second highest paid actor on U.S. TV at £240,000 an episode.
