Strawberry Hill, Bin 26 to contest polo final
STRAWBERRY Hill and Bin 26 will contest the final of the pro-am Jamaica Open Polo tournament tomorrow at 3:30 pm at the Kingston Polo Club, Caymanas Estate.
Strawberry Hill, boosted by a six-goal handicap by Argentine professional Tomas Gandara, defeated Scotia Private Client Group 71/2-5, while Bin 26 clipped the all-Jamaica Pegasus team 41/2-4 on Thursday at the Kingston Polo Club.
Scotia Group will battle Pegasus in the subsidiary final at 2:00 pm.
Mitt Rousseau, Johnathon Dougall, and Argentines Jorge Donovan and Juan Humbert are hoping to take Strawberry Hill to the top of the Jamaica Open, but Zander and Mark Melville, Ricky Wates and Gandara have indicated that they will try to tilt the game in their favour by halfway the match.
Meanwhile, the Scotia team of James Robertson, Craig Russell, John B Gyles and Jose Lartirigoyen believe that fortune will favour them this time around as they go all-out to get the better of the All Jamaica quartet of Shane Chin, Leslie Fong-Yee, Andy Vernon, and Mark Yates.
