Clarks Town hammer Granville FC 6-0
CARTER, Trelawny — Clarks Town got the return round of the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League off with a bang after hammering Granville FC 6-0 at the Carter Centre on Sunday afternoon.
The win, which was Clarks Town’s eighth of the season, gave them the lead over Harmony on goal difference as both teams are tied on 27 points.
Clarks Town lead by the slimmest margin of a one-goal difference.
Harmony beat Spicy Hill 4-0 a day earlier to take over the lead in the goal-scoring race with 24, one more than Clarks Town, who have the edge on goal difference thanks to their conceding just five goals to Harmony’s seven.
Despite being edged 3-2 by lowly Flames at Sea-Road, Holland stays in third place on 22 points as Duanvale moved a place up to fourth on 20 points after edging promoted Sherwood 1-0 at Duanvale.
Upsetters improved to 19 points after their 2-1 win over Kinloss at Carey Park while Palmento and Dromilly ended 0-0.
