15th MultiCare Track & Field Championships takes centrestage
The 15th Annual MultiCare Foundation Track & Field Achievement Championships will be staged on Tuesday, May 11 at the GC Foster College.
The Championships will be contested by students from the 31 MultiCare-assisted schools in East, West and Central Kingston and Greater Portmore. Some 550 boys and girls are expected to participate in the zonal competition.
Some 550 boys and girls will compete in the (10-12), (13-14), (15-16), (17-18) and open classes in the 100 metres, 150 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, and in the 4X100 metre relay and the 4X400 metre relay. Track & Field Clinics for all classes have been underway since January in all 31 schools.
The Annual MultiCare Track & Field Achievement Championships is the annual showpiece of the foundation’s sports programme.
The 15th Annual MultiCare Track & Field Achievement Championships is jointly sponsored by the MultiCare Foundation and the National Health Fund.
The schools will enter 46 events.
