OUR SPECIAL PLACE – The Sugar Mill Restaurant
There are many restaurants in the Second City at which Montegonians Valarie and Denton Campbell dine, but their favourite by far is The Sugar Mill Restaurant overlooking Half Moon’s Golf Course.
“We’ve celebrated many anniversaries at Sugar Mill,” reminisced Denton Campbell. “The ambiance and setting are wonderful, the service is excellent and the food exquisite.” According to Mr Campbell, Sugar Mill’s sentinel Solomon Gardner makes guests feel so comfortable and welcome, making the experience even more special.
He recommends Sugar Mill’s new Sunday Jazz at The Mill dinner, a three-course prix-fixe dinner featuring the jazz musician Eddie Hauswirth, as good value for money.
Half Moon’s other restaurants also rank highly for the food-lovers. For a great lunch, the Seagrape Terrace is a must. The traditional English-style pub at the Half Moon Shopping Village is also a favourite for the couple. “The pub at Half Moon is a sort of home-away-from-home for us. It’s very comfortable, casual and convenient. We’ve even been known to grab takeout from there,” Mr Campbell confesses.
