What are your earliest memories of Kingston?
I lived in St Mary for a while and used to love coming back to Kingston to go to the pantomime and JCDC Festival of the Arts at the Ward Theatre.
What do you miss when you are not in Kingston?
The theatre scene, the plays and other live performances.
What are your favourite home comforts?
Sipping my cup of tea curled up in the couch flipping between CNN, HGTV and re-runs of American Idol.
What would you do if you were mayor (of Kingston) for a day?
Get all (or as many as possible) of the homeless persons off the streets to a ‘soup kitchen’ or other place where they could be fed and given some clothing that’s been donated, and see how they could be rehabilitated to be off the street, and be worked back into society.

My friends try to stop me, but I’m a Pepsi fanatic. When drinking wine, a Shiraz is my choice.
What was your most memorable meal in Kingston?
The Jamaki Sushi at Spanish Court Café was a delightful treat, and I have to mention the chicken breast panini on tomato basil bread at Rituals Coffee Shop.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learnt from mum?
Of course, all the great things like patience and working hard, but my culinary skills were learnt from the best… my mum.
What are your current projects?
Performing in a University Players’ comedy, Appropriate Behaviour, written by Barbara Gloudon.
Continually spreading the word about Spanish Court Hotel.
What upsets you?
Indecisiveness, impatience and foul language.

Grand Cayman, Washington DC, New York City.
What’s your advice to a first-time visitor to Kingston?
Stay at the Spanish Court Hotel, sample all the various restaurants — so many cuisines to choose from — and visit the Blue Mountains… see Kingston from on high.

Live and love each day to its fullest as if it were your last!
