Revolution, Ebony Strikers in netball showdown
NEWLY promoted University of the West Indies (UWI) Revolution will face Ebony Strikers ‘A’ in the semi-finals of the 2010 Supreme Ventures/JNA Division A League competition this evening at the Leila Robinson Courts starting at 7:15 pm.
The other semi-final will be between Jetsetters ‘A’ and Ravens ‘A’, also starting at 7:15 pm.
Meanwhile, the semi-finals also of the Supreme Ventures Division C League will be played today, with Boulevard Baptist going up against Job’s Lane and GC Fosters Strikers ‘B’ taking on Molynes United ‘C’ at 5:45 pm.
The quarter-finals of both Division ‘A’ and ‘C’ Leagues were played last Saturday (May 8). In the
Division ‘A’ League quarter-finals, UWI Revolution registered a convincing 41-28 win over Alexander Strikers ‘A’, and it was their 12th win from 13 matches this season, while it was the ninth defeat for the losers.
UWI Revolution led throughout the entire match as they secured a 20-15 lead at half-time. They then increased the score to 30-23 at the third-quarter before pulling away to score an easy win.
The finals of both the Division A and C Leagues will be played on Saturday inside the National Indoor Sports Centre, starting at 3:00 pm.
