Third round of St James FA kicks off today
MONTEGO BAY, St James — The third round of the Claro St James Football Association’s Division One competition will get underway this afternoon with two games.
After two rounds of the competition played in zones, the third round will be played on a cross-zone format with the teams meeting once with the top two teams from each zone advancing to the semi-finals.
Today at the Albion field Zone B leaders Montego Bay Boys Club will face Copperwood, who are fourth in Zone A, while at the UDC field, Reggae Youths from Zone B will face Westgreen.
The points table at the end of the second round shows Juniors FC leading Little Miami on goal difference as both are tied on 17 points, one more than Rosemount FC (16 points).
Copperwood are next on 12 points followed by Westgreen, 10, and Upsetters, eight.
In Zone B, Boys Club, the only unbeaten team left in the competition, have opened up a big lead on 22 points, 10 more than Champion FC with Reggae Youths in third place on nine points.
Seaview FC are on six points with Marl Road on four.
