VCB vs Felix in 200m at NYC meet
NEW YORK, United States — Two-time Olympic gold medalist Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica and three-time world champion Allyson Felix of the United States will face off in the 200 metres at the Adidas Grand Prix.
The June 12 meet on Randall’s Island in New York will be the first matchup on American soil between the two sprint stars. Felix, of Santa Clarita, California, leads 6-2 in their head-to-head meetings, but Campbell-Brown’s two victories came at the Olympics.
World-record holder Usain Bolt had already been announced. He will take on Olympic silver medalist Richard Thompson of Trinidad and Tobago in the 100.
Other competitors announced today include Olympic champion Dawn Harper of Los Angeles in the 100 hurdles.
