TJam 4×4 excursions continue
TOYOTA Jamaica is staging its fourth excursion in the auto company’s series of 4×4 off-road expeditions, this time into the Portland, Blue Mountain foothills.
Howard Foster, marketing and sales manager at Toyota Jamaica, tells Auto that drivers need not be members of the TJam 4×4 club to participate in the excursion, planned for May 29.
Participants are expected to meet 11:00 am at Buff Bay before travelling to Bybrook and into the lush Portland hills.
The Tjam 4×4 club has been in existence some two years, doing off-road drives in locations such as the Yallahs River bed and Cinchona, high in the St Andrew hills.
Interested 4×4 vehicle drivers can join the club by registering on the Toyota Jamaica website.
Foster, however, emphasised that there is no stipulation that drivers register prior to participating in excursions, but added that it is nonetheless preferred as registration allows for better communication and storage of data.
“Membership is open to all 4×4 Toyota and Diahatsu vehicle drivers,” said Foster.
He added that TJam officials were now contemplating making the club one where members received benefits from auto outlets.
“We have not formed that yet but it is in the process,” Foster said.
