Quarter-final round of FX Trader D-1 today
CHAPELTON, Clarendon — The quarter-final round of the FX Trader/Clarendon Football Association Division One competition is set to get underway today with two games.
In one, Spartan FC will tackle Chatteau Progressive at Clarendon College, while Comfort FC face New Longsville at Comfort in the other. Both games start at 3:30 pm.
The top-two teams from the four preliminary zones advanced to the last eight which will see them being divided into two groups of four where they will play each other once.
After three rounds of games are completed, with the top two finishers along with their runner-ups will moved onto the semi-finals.
Two more 3:30 games will be played tomorrow — Free Town oppose Harlem at Bodles in Group A, while in Group B, Treadlight play Cockpit at Treadlight.
Group A consists of Comfort FC (winners of Zone One), Free Town FC (Zone Four winners), New Longsville (Zone Two runner-up) and Harlem FC (Zone Three runner-up), while in Group B are Spartan FC (winners of Zone Two), Treadlight FC (winners of Zone Three), Cockpit FC (Zone One runner-up and Chatteau Progressive, who placed second in Zone Four.
