Franklyn visits Cricket Hall of Fame in Hartford
ATTORNEY-AT-LAW Delano Franklyn stopped by the Cricket Hall of Fame in Hartford, Connecticut, on Wednesday, April 28, to make a presentation about his two latest books, Michael Manley, The Politics of Equality and Sprinting into History.
A former Minister of State in Jamaica, Franklyn said he was in Hartford to promote the books. After explaining the contents of the books, Franklyn gave his views about some of the problems now facing the island and responded to questions about some of the current issues.
He was told that the Hall of Fame’s plans to induct former West Indies star batsman Lawrence Rowe has been held up because they do not know whether the ban that was placed against him when he went to South Africa during the apartheid days has been lifted.
Stating that Rowe is the best batsman that he has ever seen, Franklyn promised to do some research when he returns home and to inform the Hall of Fame whatever he was able to find out on the matter
