Gabriella’s ‘fresh face’ tips

Ball Season 2010 will see the emergence of fashion forward outfits that will need edgy make-up to create the perfect complement. TEENage sat down with the dynamic and extraordinary Gabriella’s Cosmetics, which has emerged as the make-up boutique to contend with. The owner Terian Cunningham gave us an insight into her business and the little intricacies that make Gabriella’s unique.

TEENage: What was the driving force behind the creation of Gabriella’s Cosmetics and also where did the name come from?

Terian Cunningham (TC): The driving force behind Gabriella’s is simple. I had a huge shoe to fill and my predecessor already set the bar so high that I had no choice but to do the same. It was on me to take the store to another level and enhance what she had already created. This was very important for her and initially she didn’t want to sell her companies to just anyone. She wanted to make sure that whoever succeeded her was in favour of the above. The name Gabriella belongs to a beautiful little girl and I am lucky enough to be her mom.

TEENage: What are some of the services that you offer and does Gabriella’s Cosmetic only offer make-up?

TC: We offer in-house make-up applications, wedding packages, application tips and eyebrow services. Along with make-up sales and services we stock a wide array of bath products from Victoria’s Secret, Bath n Body Works, The Body Shop and Deep Sea Cosmetics just to name a few. We also do external services where our team will come to you.

TEENage: What do you have special planned for the Ball Season 2010?

TC: Ball Season 2010 comes at a fabulous time! We are currently having the (first in a line to come) our Annual Clearance Sale [which will be going on for the entire month of May]. We are having huge discounts on all items including make-up and never before on the island M.A.C make-up is included in this sale. We are offering a 10 per cent discount on all make-up items and our perfumes and bath items are on discount from 10-50 per cent off! So we encourage all graduates to come and indulge in this fabulous treat from us here at Gabriella’s Cosmetics.

TEENage: What are some make-up tips that you would give to the ladies who not only want to look their best but also want to look spectacular?

TC: Ladies to acquire a spectacular look ensure the eyes pop, the lips sparkle and your skin glows. Add a little moisture to your applicator before applying your eye shadow, keep a tasty lip gloss handy (preferably one with a little shimmer) and make sure you have a Bronzer. Careful application of a Bronzer to specific areas of your face and body will secure you a radiance even the stars will love.

TEENage: If there is anything special you would want our readers to know about your store and the experience they will get once they enter the door what would that be?

TC: Great customer service is what we pride ourselves on here at Gabriella’s Cosmetics and a unique ambiance which greets you on entrance to the boutique.

If you would like to take part in this experience, Gabriella’s Cosmetics is open from Mondays- Fridays from 10 am- 6pm and 10am- 7pm on Saturdays. Feel free to contact them at 946-9445 and gabriellascosmetics@live.com and www.facebook.com/gabriellascosmetics.
