There is a popular contemporary Christian song called The Candle Song, which tells listeners to carry their candles and go light their world. It challenges persons to be a light for God in the World. Prayer is the spark that lights your candle for God.
In a dark room, a candle’s light makes all the difference. The tiny flicker of prayer lights up the darkest places in your life. Whatever you face today, you can have the light of prayer and shine it for all to see. Hold up your candle, ask God to light the flame.
To do this week: Sit in a quiet, dark room. Light a scented candle. Put on some calming music and enjoy some special alone time with God.
