JEROME King of Mandeville won the Flow/ESPN loyalty promotion and a trip to the French Open tennis championship in Paris, starting on Saturday.

King, an educator and avid tennis fan, was declared the “Flow to the French Open” winner of the promotion that took place in May.

King who resides in Mandeville and plays tennis as “often as she can”, entered the best entry in the promotion, collected her prize from Flow, and is now making final preparations to attend the all-expense-paid trip for two Roland Garros.

Thousand of Flow customers entered the promotion, telling Flow in less than 50 words why they loved to watch ESPN International.

King’s entry was, however, seen as the best and met the goal of sharing her love for ESPN International, which most fully satisfied the requirements outlined in the competition.

She received two round trip tickets to Paris, four nights/five days hotel accommodation for two; two VIP tickets to the French Open, ground transportation and US$500 cash.

“Winning this competition has been a dream and it has brought such joy to people around me” said King.

“I coach people to live life as best as they can and always remember their dreams. Now I have started my journey on one of my dreams, which was to attend all the grand slam tennis tournaments.” she noted.

King started playing tennis at her alma mater, St Andrew High School, but her coach recommended that she played netball instead.

She was determined to play tennis, so she played with friends outside of school and became very interested in the sport. She has kept her love for the sports over the years, playing casually and watching as many matches as she can.

King, who will be taking her son Phillip on the trip to France, said it would be a great bonding experience with her son in beautiful Paris. Meanwhile, Flow’s Marketing Director Sharon Roper said her organisation was happy a lover of the game had won the competition. Said Roper: “We’re extremely pleased that someone who is an avid tennis player emerged as the eventual winner. Miss King is a great customer and a tennis enthusiast and we’re happy to help her make at least one of her life long dreams come true.”
