Supreme Ventures sponsors CFW 2010
Supreme Ventures Sports Betting and its Just Bet brand are major sponsors of CFW 2010. This year’s 10th anniversary event marks the first time that Supreme Ventures has sponsored fashion, a clear recognition of the growing importance of Caribbean style in the lives and psyche of the people of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
It is also a vote of confidence in the CFW, the region’s oldest style event, whose slogan “where Caribbean fashion meets the world”, aptly describes the reach and importance of the event.
Supreme’s contribution will go a long way in ensuring that this year’s renewal will be the best ever Caribbean Fashionweek, a release from the organisers said.
Speaking briefly at a meeting to officially mark the sponsorship confirmation, Brian George, Supreme’s CEO said, “In light of our new sports betting brand JustBet and the opportunity that CFW will afford us to reach a young, hip target market with an appetite for sports and fashion, we see this partnership as a significant marketing option to expose and grow our brand.”
Supreme Ventures will host a number of activities during CFW at the Acropolis, including an opening press conference on Tuesday June 8, as well as a celebrity VIP reception on Thursday June 10, immediately after the Haiti Art & Fashion Benefit earlier that evening.
Caribbean Fashionweek takes place June 8 – 14 at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston. Over 10,000 persons are expected to attend the various events and activities this year. An event with wide international reach and appeal, CFW features 6 days and nights of the collections as well as 12 other events, plus supermodels, superstar performances, after parties, workshops and an Exhibition Hall for sponsors and designers.
CFW is covered by such international media as Fashion TV Paris, which beams programming to 300 million plus viewers in over 200 countries, part of a group of over 250 local, regional and international media houses which cover the event each year. These include such publications as Vogue, Marie Claire, The NY Times, The New York Daily News, the Associated Press, The Independent, The BBC and many others. British Vogue once describes CFW as an important new event in world fashion
