War crimes prosecutors want to subpoena supermodel Naomi Campbell over claims that she received a blood diamond as a gift from former Liberian president Charles Taylor, who is currently on trial for crimes against humanity.

It is alleged that the former President gave the diamond to the supermodel on one of her trips to South Africa following a dinner hosted by Nelson Mandela. Naomi, 39, has so far refused to co-operate with the hearing and recently stormed out of a U.S. television interview when she was asked about it. A judge will now decide if a subpoena will be issued forcing her to attend the hearing. ‘

Ms Campbell’s testimony is necessary as there is evidence that she was given rough diamonds by the accused (Taylor) in September 1997,’ said a prosecution motion filed with the Special Court for Sierra Leone. Taylor is currently on trial for 11 charges of instigating murder, rape, mutilation, sexual slavery and conscription of child soldiers during wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone in which more than 250,000 people were killed. It is also alleged that he provided arms and ammunition to brutal rebels during Sierra Leone’s civil war in exchange for diamonds. He denies the allegations. The prosecution is also calling on actress Mia Farrow who said Campbell told her about the former President’s elaborate gift.

She claims to be slowing down these days, but something definitely appeared to be up with Nicole Kidman at a charity gala on Thursday. The Oscar-winning actress took to the red carpet at a bash in Hong Kong wearing a daring black dress.

Despite not wearing a bra, the flame-haired star certainly seemed to be enjoying a boost in the chest department, which is surprising considering she’s not known for her curves. Nicole, 42, showed off her new curves at A Night With The Stars, at a fundraising banquet for the United Nations Development Fund for Women in Hong Kong. Kidman revealed that her family is the main contributor to her healthy glow, stating that family comes first as she enjoys life with country-western singer husband Keith Urban and her daughter Sunday Rose, born in July 2008. With family life her priority, Kidman says she and her husband try not to spend more than three days apart in an effort to maintain their loving marriage. The former wife of actor Tom Cruise has appeared in over 40 Hollywood films.

Carrie Underwood Launches Flood Relief Fund

”Temporary Home” isn’t just the name of Carrie Underwood’s latest No. 1 single; it’s also the name of her latest charity organisation which is geared towards helping thousands of Tennessee residents who were displaced by deadly flooding earlier this month. Underwood is launching the Temporary Home fund along with ACM Lifting Lives to help flood victims.

She is using the grants she would be given as the reigning Academy of Country Music entertainer of the year recipient for the fund. Lifting Lives is donating money from the taping of ”ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn — The Last Rodeo” tribute special that airs on Sunday on CBS. As of Thursday, May 20, people can donate $10 by texting ”ACM” to 501051. Underwood has also taped a public service announcement that will air during the Brooks & Dunn special.
