Root House seek third straight win
GRANVILLE, St James — Zone B leaders Root House will be seeking their third win in a row this afternoon, weather permitting, when they take on Fire House FC at the Sam Sharpe Teachers College grounds in a St James FA Guardian Life Division Two first-round game.
Montego Bay and parts of western Jamaica have been receiving increased rainfall this week which has caused at least one game to be postponed due to a water-logged field.
The Hart Street based Root House has won their opening two games to sit atop Zone B with maximum six points and will be seeking to extend their good start when they take on Fire House who are making their debut today.
Also today, Zone A leaders Albion Youths will face second-placed Heights United at Mt Salem in a game that see the teams separated by one point.
Albion Youths have won one and drawn another game to be on four points, while Heights have won and lost one each to be on three points, tied with two other teams.
In another Zone A game, Hugs United and Norwood Strikers will meet at Albion.
In the only Zone C game scheduled, Tank Road and Survivors will meet at Tucker.
Two more games will be played tomorrow — Jackson Town and Montego Bay Cricket Club will meet at the UDC Field, while Youths United and Unity Hall will meet at Sam Sharpe Teachers College.
