Necessary Luxury – Allison Thompson
There are a few basic essentials that I deem necessary: my Daily Word to start off my day, a cup of coffee while I read, topping it off with my selection of music (whether it’s Enya, Sarah McLachlan and Phil Collins playing in the background).
My BlackBerry — used as a planner, address book and for e-mails — helps to keep my productivity levels high. Most importantly, it’s the most convenient way to always be in touch with my inspiration: my son, who is overseas in college.
As an administrator, I am constantly signing documents so it makes a big difference when you have a great pen that glides across the page, giving your signature a sophisticated look.
Speaking of ‘sophisticated look’, I always have my L’Oréal infallible lip-colour compact with me at all times to keep my lips moisturised while looking great. And to top it off, I cannot seem to go through the day without having an ice-cold Pepsi.
