Montego Bay Boys Club hunt 10th win
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Early semi-final qualifiers Montego Bay Boys Club will seek to improve on their league-leading nine wins today when they take on Westgreen FC at the UDC field in their St James Football Association’s Claro Division One third-round cross-zone game set to start at 3:30 pm.
Boys Club, who were the dominant football club in the parish several decades ago, have had mixed fortunes of late, dropping all the way to the Division Two.
They have, however, dominated the competition this season, winning nine of their 10 games, drawing the other while scoring 31 goals, by far the most by any team, as Rosemount, who have scored 19, come next.
Boys Club lead Zone B with 28 points, while Westgreen are struggling in Zone A on 11 points from 11 games.
Rosemount FC who are third in Zone A on 16 points will make their first appearance in the third round when they take on Zone B third-placed team Reggae Youths at the Mt Salem field.
In the other game scheduled, Copperwood and Champion will meet at Albion.
