Survivors stay on top in St James D-2
TUCKER, St James — Survivors United stayed top of the points tables in Zone C of the St James Football Association’s Guardian Life Division Two on Saturday despite a 1-1 draw with Kempshot United at Tucker.
Survivors came from behind to earn the point after Damion Williams had scored in the 15th minute to give Kempshot the lead.
Christopher McLeod, however, scored in the 35th minute to help Survivors to earn a point.
Three clubs — Survivors, Youths United and Kempshot — are all on seven points each from four games, with only goal difference separating them.
Survivors have a plus four to lead, followed by Youths United on plus two with Kempshot on 0.
Youths United, who had replaced Somerton at the last minute, moved into second place after a 2-1 win over Tank Road at Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College in Granville.
All three goals were scored in a 10-minute period in the first half of the game with Orian Williams in the 10th and Larry Allen in the 15th giving Youths United a 2-0 lead.
Allan Samuels, however, pulled one back for Tank Road in the 20th, but that was as close as they got as they lost for the third straight game.
