The stage is now set for an exiting and thrilling finish final day todday with a total of 28 finals down to be contested.
Hydel, coached by Corey Bennett, have qualified in a number of finals, but his athletes will have to run well to make up grounds on the schools that are ahead of him.
Meanwhile, the Marlon Tucker-coached Vaz are looking very dangerous after qualifying for a number of finals, while Ardenne, too, have a good chance of becoming champions if they continue their early form.
William Green of Ardenne won the Class One boys’ long jump gold with a distance of 5.23 metres from Alex Robinson of Vaz with 5.15m and Luke Walters of Vaz with 4.99 metres.
Toni-Ann Farquharson of Mona was the winner of the Class One girls’ high jump with a leap of 1.45 metres. Farquharson got the better of Kathleen Smith of Ardenne and Celia Lawson also of Ardenne, who both leapt the same height of 1.45 metres as the winner.
