Saint books double for Benetton
In the frenzy of preparation for a promised-to-be blockbuster of a Styleweel 2010, July 9-11, the Saint International camp is now celebrating yet another fashion milestone. Two of its models have been selected as faces for the fall campaign for world-renowned Italian knitwear brand Benetton.
The models, Carl Agapit and Shena Moulton recently returned from New York where the shoot took place at thepopular Milk Studios with photographer Josh Olins and stylist Karl Templer.
“Being selected as the face of a high-end luxury brand such as Benetton speaks to the calibre of the Saint Models. It’s always great to do editorials but the campaign is where the models make the money and earn industry respect,” Saint boss Peters said.
Interestingly, Carl Agapit, who hails from Martinique was top finalist in the Saint International 2010 Fashion Face Of The Caribbean held in March.
“This is a stunning start for Carl and we are proud to have been able to book him for such a prestigious job as his first international assignment,” added Peters. He also revealed that he has confirmed Carl to be represented by New York’s power boutique agency RED Models and also by a group of European industry powerbrokers including D Management in Milano and Major Models in Paris.
Shena’s star continue to rise. The young teen created history when she walked for Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs for two consecutive runway show seasons. As a new face in Paris, she conquered the runways of 12 top designers including Louis Vuitton, Kenzo and Anne Valerie Hash. Still modeling for less than one year, she has already appeared in the international campaign for Gap Japan, alongside hip hop megastar Pharell Williams.
Recently, Shena was flown to New York for an exclusive presentation for Christian Dior. Still in school at Penwood High, she has appeared for Teen Vogue, Another Magazine, Russian Vogue, and others. New York Magazine has featured her as the Caribbean’s hot new face.
Other Saint models who have appeared for the prestigious Benetton line of international campaigns and runway shows include Terri Williams, Ariane Colman and Sasha Gaye Hunt.
The new Benetton campaign is set to be released in the last quarter of 2010.
