Necessary Luxury – Rese Young
CEO Rese Young My Living Healthy
As the founder and CEO of Rese Young My Living Healthy, a company which focuses primarily on getting organisations and individuals on a path to wellness, I pride myself on being client-centric and ensuring clients meet their wellness goals, whether it be weight loss, implementing wellness programmes for companies or just giving a motivational talk!
My necessary luxuries are all the tools that help me to execute a long list of daily activities.
I must have at least one glass of coconut water before a motivational speaking engagement or a private coaching session. It’s the best drink in town! It’s low in carbs, fat and very low in sugar. It’s what I recommend when someone is on the path to giving up processed juices and wants to begin a journey of overall wellness. It’s water in its purest form.
My job requires a lot of internal self investigation so I always encourage clients to journal. A must-have for me is my custom (hand made) journal, that is made with things from nature and recycled paper. I must always be able to capture my innermost thoughts and my creative ideas. Journaling is essential therapy as it allows me to stay true to who I am. It’s an excellent way to document one’s journey.
My iPod is always with me. On my downtime I love to listen to a wide genre of music, especially music from my favourite local band, Rootz Underground. It’s definitely handy on my morning run or when I am in the gym for two hours and I need some “vibes” music.
To stay in touch, one still needs technology regardless, so I always have my Digicel Bold 2 handy. My clients communicate through email a lot, so it’s really essential to be able to respond on the go. It makes them feel secure in the knowledge that they can always get help and that I am just an email or a call away.
Last but by no means least, my Macbook. In the field of health, where studies are being constantly updated, one has to do a lot of reading. My MAC allows me to browse and keep abreast of the latest trends, in exercise, diet, and lifestyle.
