Lindsay Lohan set to pose naked in new advert

Lindsay Lohan is going to take her clothes off for another photo shoot. Well, most of it.

Lohan, 23, is set to pose nude for a new set of promotional shots for her handbag line, ‘6126’, but her court-ordered alcoholmonitoring bracelet is likely to stay on.

It is still unknown whether the device will be airbrushed out of the pictures, removed under police supervision or left in the advertisement. “We’re thinking of having police on hand so we can remove the ankle bracelet for the pictures,” said Richard Luna of The California Bag, which licenses Lindsay’s 6126 line.

Lindsay is currently out on $200,000 bail after violating her probation regarding a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. She was also fitted with a SCRAM device, which monitors her body for alcohol intake.

Tom Cruise channels his inner David Beckham as he returns to US

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery — so David Beckham must have been feeling very flattered on Monday as Tom Cruise arrived back in the US looking the spitting image of his football-playing pal.

If you were to add some tattoos, a beanie cap, and a few inches in height, Tom was a Beckham doppelganger in New York as he returned home to his apartment. Stealing some style pointers from the ever fashionable Beckham, Tom was dressed in a matching fading denim shirt and dark jeans, even carrying his bag on the same side. Cruise returned to the US after a European promotional tour for his new movie Knight and Day, which co-stars Cameron Diaz.

Katie Holmes and daughter, Suri, joined Cruise in Europe, with Holmes posing on the red carpet with her husband at the movie’s world premiere in Seville, Spain. Tom, 47, opened up about his close relationship with Beckham at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month.

“I began hanging out with David and Victoria when I was in England filming Eyes Wide Shut,” Tom said. “David and I became friends from the very start. I really admire him as a person, father, husband and athlete. He’s absolutely fantastic. He’s got a great competitive spirit and is a tireless worker with a clear mind and a solid body.”

For his part, Beckham has gushed about Cruise: “You say there’s good-looking people, and you look at Tom, and he’s one of the most handsome men I’ve ever met.” Going on to praise both Cruise and Holmes, he called them: “Amazing parents and really good people.”

Nicole Richie’s probation extended after declaring herself ‘too busy’ for alcohol education classes

A judge has extended Nicole Richie’s probation because she’s been too busy with her children to complete the court-ordered programme.

Richie, who found time for a flight to Australia last week to open a shopping centre for a rumoured £117,000 (US$173,000) fee, was put on probation back in 2006 after being convicted of a DUI offence.

She was arrested after driving the wrong way down a Los Angeles freeway. Her probation was due to be terminated next month, but her lawyer went to court in Los Angeles today and told the judge the socialite has not been able to complete the programme.

Lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley told the judge Ritchie’s failure to take the required number of alcohol education courses was simply due to having two children, according to TMZ. The judge extended her probation until March, 2011.
