Stevie Face cops reggae award in the UK
Hot on the heels of a big hit song and a #1 album in the UK, singer Stevie Face scored a double triumph recently at Brixton O2 in London by delivering an unforgettable performance and later collecting an award from the promoters of the Uprising Music Festival for Reggae Singer for the Year.
At what was deemed the reggae concert of 2010 in the UK, singers Coco Tea and Freddie McGregor gave brilliant performances which had fans wanting more. It was after their deliveries that Stevie Face was called back to the stage, in front of a jam packed O2 auditorium and Winford Williams and his Onstage crew from Jamaica to receive the award.
The screams and applause were almost deafening as Stevie strolled on stage for a second time that night to receive this milestone acheivement award from emcee Levi Roots.
The singer graciously thanked his supporters for giving him such an honour and explained that London was where his career started internationally and had it not been for their love and support he would not have been there. He had no choice but to sing a few lines for the fans and launched an accapella version of his new Penthouse label produced single Thank You For Loving Me.
