Heineken Igloo hits the beach today
The Smirnoff Dream Weekend was launched in fine style a few weeks ago and since then the party vibe has gone up a number of notches. In anticipation of the grand weekend getaway in Negril, several events have been held to give patrons a taste of what is in store for the Emancipation Weekend, August 30 to July 2.
One such event was Osmosis, the Metropolis, which, despite the rain, turned out to be a massive success and attracted scores of partygoers who had their fill of exquisite catering, first-world musical selections and a first-class set-up and atmosphere.
Today another lead-up event, Heineken Igloo, will hit Sugarman’s Beach, Portmore, St Catherine. The event, which is being presented by DARK Entertainment and Syndicate Events, will be a beach party like no other, as organisers have promised an even greater taste of what is to come for the dream weekend.
“Rain or shine, it will be a fun-filled, exciting day of partying at one of the best-kept secrets in St Catherine, Sugarman’s Beach, which boasts pure white sand and crystal-clear waters,” Gersham Greene of Syndicate Events commented.
Keri Ann McKenzie, brand manager for Heineken, said that the event has become one of the highly anticipated parties of the summer.
“Heineken Igloo has carved out a niche for itself on the party landscape. This year it is a lead-up party to Smirnoff Dream Weekend and will boast some of the elements that will be showcased during Emancipation. We are excited about the event and encourage all to come out,” McKenzie said.
