Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0
AT 16 years old, Justin Bieber released his second album, entitled My World 2.0, in the United States in March of this year.
This happens to be Bieber’s first full studio release, and it has done well, becoming platinum in the US. It features hit songs such as Baby and Eenie Meenie with international artistes Ludacris and Sean Kingston respectively. My World 2.0 is clean cut and may be more appealing to young people as opposed to the more mature crowd.
Baby, featuring Ludacris, has an upbeat rhythm and is sure to lift your spirits if you’re in a bad mood. Somebody to Love is very catchy and fun to dance to while in Stuck in the Moment Bieber sings about a forbidden relationship he has with a young lady and how he wishes that he could spend more time with her, however, all he can do is cherish the few moments that they share together.
U Smile might make you wonder how sweet puppy love is because Bieber sings about how dedicated he is to a young lady that he has taken an interest in. He expresses how much he would do for her… just to see her smile.
Being a real party song, Runaway Love is easy to sing-along with, has an easy to remember chorus, and will certainly have you dancing on your feet! It may also remind you of Michael Jackson’s style of music.
Never Let You Go shows him to be quite a lyricist as young Justin doesn’t cease to sweet-talk girls in this song at all. Overboard displayed Jessica Jarrell and Justin Bieber to be a great musical pair: this song was well delivered overall.
Having Sean Kingston on the track Eenie Meenie adds a nice touch of Caribbean spice and Hip Hop flavour to the album. The tempo begins to slow down with the song Up. This is the part of the album where Justin Bieber starts to show more of the softer and more serious side to his personality. He decides to end it all with That Should Be Me, a well done track.
So, My World 2.0 is a great album, and every TEEN should try to get an original copy for this summer!
