Wisynco to give Reggae Sumfest patrons $$-back
THE thousands of persons expected to attend the 17th staging of Reggae Sumfest will benefit from the Wisynco Group’s commitment to making the best of all experiences. The distribution and manufacturing company will be giving a $50 instant cash-back rebate to ticket- holding Reggae Sumfest patrons, when they purchase drinks at the event.
According to Kimberly Lawson, the company’s PR, sponsorship and events manager, the promotion is part-and-parcel of Wisynco’s total sponsorship of Reggae Sumfest, but moreso to ensure that the company’s consumers benefit in a real and meaningful way.
“This year, we thought out carefully how we could use our participation in this year’s event to directly involve the patrons who attend the festival, so this year, upon entry to the venue, we will issue a $50 instant cash-back coupon to lucky patrons,” Lawson said.
This initiative comes on the heels of a massive rollback on prices of all the products Wisynco currently makes and distributes.
Lawson said that the mechanics for the promotion were “straightforward and simple”.
“What you see is really what you get. After receiving their cash back coupons at the entrance, patrons would then purchase a bottle of WATA, OceanSpray WATA, Coca-Cola or Coke Zero and take the unopened product along with their coupon to the designated redemption centre and they will get their instant cash back of $50. There are no strings attached,” Lawson explained.
The redemption centre will be located beside the main bar.
She also shared that Wisynco was participating with Reggae Sumfest because they believe that the event is “truly the greatest reggae show on earth”, commended the organisers for setting the standard for live events, and held that the show was a show like no other.
In inviting everyone to Montego Bay for the 17th staging of Reggae Sumfest, Lawson hoped that the patrons would enjoy and appreciate the company’s gesture.
“We hope our consumers will enjoy our continued gestures of consideration as we find ways, no matter how small or large, to continue improving the lives of our people!”
The company sponsors the 2010 staging of Reggae Sumfest through its brands WATA, Coca-Cola, OceanSpray WATA and the newly acquired Red Bull.
