Reid on fire
Zone B leaders Waterhouse scored their third successive win in the Sherwin Williams Women’s Premier League after slamming neighbours and rivals Olympic Gardens 6-0 in the third round of matches at Cling Cling Oval yesterday.
In the group’s other game, Portmore Strikers made it two wins from two matches after they turned back Constant Spring 4-0 at Racing field.
Over in Group A, former champions Harbour View rebounded from a poor start to the season, scoring their first win in three attempts, after swamping host Arnett Gardens 10-3 at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex.
The group’s other game between champions Barbican and Trelawny Women’s was not played because the field was in poor condition.
At Cling Cling Oval, Khedine Salmon scored twice, while Shushanna Dobson, Shanise Steele, Trudy-Ann Douglas and Junielle Watkins, who was playing her last game before departing for the US on scholarship, all scored one goal each to give the former winners the victory.
At the Racing field, Portmore also kept their 100 per cent win record in tact after two strikes from Kelliann Fearon and one each from Jodian Morrison and Sasheena Stewart saw them to victory.
Over in Group A at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex, Kenesha Reid (15th, 48th, 53rd and 57th) scored four times, Natasha Douglas and Tanesha Vassell netted twice, and Teola Caine and Shanique Mitchell got one each, as Harbour View ran rampant.
Chevel Martin (second, 45th and a 65th-minute penalty) replied for Arnett Gardens, who were losing their second consecutive match by a huge margin, after going 1-7 to Trelawny last Wednesday.
