Newcomer Vanzie in Reggae Boyz training squad
Portmore United’s midfielder Andrew Vanzie is the only newcomer to the Reggae Boyz squad as preparation for their up coming international friendlies resumes today with another five-day camp.
Vanzie, 20, was part of the Under-21 CAC Games squad a few months aback and has earned his first senior call up by head coach Theodore Whitmore.
Vanzie, a former Garvey Maceo player, is highly rated by a member of the Portmore United staff, who thinks he is arguably one of the best in the island.
The 23-member squad is expected to report to the Players’ Residence at 102 Shortwood Road, Kingston 8 at 1:00 pm on today where they will be housed for the duration of the camp.
The squad is preparing for the international friendlies against Trinidad and Tobago on August 11 at the Hasley Crawford stadium with the return game set for October 10 at the National Stadium in Jamaica.

The team will play against a Portland Select Team at Lynch Park, Buff Bay, Portland on Saturday beginning at 7:00 pm. Entry cost is $300.
