Kudos for James Robertson
Dear Editor,
The energy minister has surprised many, especially the politically naïve, ignorant and confused. Yet there are some who have deemed it fit to practise a type of esubterfuge towards him, using a nom de plume. The rejected individual needs serious psychiatric help, regardless of the letters which may come or not after the name.
James Robertson must be considered one of the top ministers rather than someone only suited for MP work.
His most recent achivement, whether it be a team effort or not, is a reclamation of JLP dignity and possible focus akin to the Obama term “game-changing”. He and his team at the ministry have secured 629 jobs in the bauxite industry which many thought had become a white elephant or museum piece. Can you imagine if under his leadership of the ministry oil were to be found?
The LNG issue and its inevitable implementation has been somewhat confused with other unsuccessful pilot projects, perhaps not well thought-out.
I encourage all Jamaicans locally and in the diaspora to go the ministry’s website at www.mem.gov.jm www.mem.gov.jm/ and have a good read of Jamaica’s energy policy and focus on it rather than just talking and confusing matters.
All the best to Minister James Robertson and his clever team at MEM.
