Two faces of Rihanna

Star cuddles up to young fans before taking to stage in X-rated show

Rihanna showed her maternal side last night when she greeted some of her youngest fans — before taking to the stage with her X-rated live show.

The Disturbia singer took time to pose with some cute youngsters in fancy dress, as she took a walk around the Canadian city of Toronto ahead of her performance.

The 22-year-old Bajan singer even gave some a cuddle as she showed that despite the raunchy clothes and severe haircut, she’s a softie — though with her overtly sexualised image and output, she’s perhaps not the sort of person you’d want your children emulating.

The star has had a few days off from her mammoth Last Girl On Earth Tour, which kicked off in April and runs until March next year, to promote her 2009 album Rated R. However, she’s now back on the road for the rest of August and performs in Montreal today.

Thursday last, she tore up the stage at the Molton Amphitheatre in the Canadian city in a series of barely-there outfits and a host of near-the-knuckle dance routines. The singer constantly appeared to fondle herself, made suggestive movements with her microphone and often brandished her derrière defiantly at the crowd. She also straddled a tank painted pink during her song Hard and beat up a car with a baseball bat during Shut Up And Drive.

Meanwhile, the video for Rihanna’s duet with Eminem, Love The Way You Lie, was premiered on MTV in the US on Thursday.

The single, inspired by Rihanna’s beating at the hands of former lover Chris Brown, is about domestic violence and sees movie beauty Megan Fox trade steamy kisses and brutal slaps with Lost star Dominic Monaghan.

The track is currently residing at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 for the third week running.

Emma Watson is Hair-mione Granger no more as she cuts off her locks for edgy new ‘do

With her famous role as Hermione Granger firmly behind her, Emma Watson has decided to experiment with a different look by cutting her hair into an edgy new ‘do.

The 20-year-old actress was almost unrecognisable as she showed off her crop while catching a cab in New York’s West Village with friends.

Wearing a chic striped top and cropped trousers, Emma’s new look was worlds away from the innocent schoolgirl Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise.

But while Emma appears pleased by the new crop, her fans aren’t finding it quite so magical, having become used to Emma as Hermione, with her famously long, curly hair.

And despite admitting she would be extremely sad to say goodbye to the Harry Potter franchise, Emma is clearly keen to make a fresh start for herself with a drastic new appearance.

Emma’s look was apparently created by New York’s Cutler Salon, who wrote on their Facebook page yesterday: “Rodney cut Emma Watson’s hair, stay tuned for the results… you will be amazed!!!”

The actress, who shot to fame when she was cast as Hermione in Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, has come to be known for her effortless style and was even cast in Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2010 advertising campaign.

Since finishing shooting the final two Harry Potter films – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Parts I and II – Emma has returned to New York where she is currently studying at Brown University.

Baby on board! Pregnant Kelly Preston looks radiant as she jets out of LA

Kelly Preston arrived at LAX airport with some very precious cargo – her baby bump.

The 47-year-old wife of John Travolta looked happy and radiant as she made her way through the terminal with a coffee in one hand and Prada bag in the other.

The actress teamed white leggings with a floaty navy top that skimmed over her burgeoning tummy.

Kelly usually jets around the world with her husband, a licensed pilot, in the captain’s seat of one of his many private planes, including a new Eclipse 500. But it seems the Pulp Fiction star, 56, sat this trip out.

The Hollywood couple announced they were expecting their third child in May this year, 18 months after their 16-year-old son Jett passed away.

“We tried for several years, and we didn’t think it was going to happen for us,” the couple, who also have a daughter Ella Bleu, 10, have said. “This is a miracle, and we feel blessed.”

Longtime friend Lisa Marie Presley told People magazine after the announcement: “John and Kelly have been slowly trying to heal from something they never thought they could heal from. This is the beautiful ray of light they so desperately needed and deserve.”
