Condolence
Dear Editor,
I would like to extend sincere condolence to the Phillips family, owner and operators of Phillips and Son Funeral Home in Clarendon which lost two employees at the hands of gunmen.
Trevor Phillips and I spoke on Monday and he told me that two men and a vehicle were dispatched on Sunday night and up to Monday they had not returned to the funeral home. I had hoped that the men, Pearnel Watson and Damion Watson, would come to no harm, but unfortunately their bodies were found riddled with bullets and the vehicle stolen.
Phillips and Son Funeral Home and the House of Tranquillity share a special bond. I recommended to Trevor that he instal a vehicle-tracking system in his first-call cars and he planned to come to Kingston to see our service provider for the installation.
I would also like to extend my sympathy to the families of the two employees who lost their lives. Our prayers are with them in their time of pain, sorrow and grief.
May Pearnel’s and Damion’s souls rest in peace, and light perpetual shine upon them.
Joseph M Cornwall Snr
