Investigators say they have been getting new information surrounding the case but were tight-lipped with the details.

“Since the incident police have been following a number of leads into the case,” one investigating officer in the case said.

The cop said no more arrests were made but based on information the police were receiving they were confident they would soon make further arrest.

Five men and three females including an 11-year-old girl were gunned down in a daring attack by thugs in the Spanish Town community last week.

Residents of the war torn community said about 20 armed men, dressed in dark-coloured clothing, invaded a section of the community known as Monkey Town.

Police reported that two of the perpetrators were later shot and killed in an alleged shootout with the police.

The men have been identified as Jerome Williams, and a man known only as ‘Kevin’ or ‘Bilbo’. Both men are known members of the Klansman Gang which operates in Spanish Town, police report.

Another suspect who went to a hospital over the weekend with gun shot wounds has since been arrested and has been placed under police guard.
