Ruffi-Ann focused on the growth of her career
Dancehall artiste Sharon Peterkin aka Ruffi-Ann is determined to take her career to higher heights. The hard-hitting cultural deejay, who recently delivered a strong performance on Capleton’s ‘St Mary Mi Come From’ stage show, says she is looking forward to performing on even more major events later this year.
While she is grateful for the exposure on that show, she is still puzzled by the fact that she has not been asked to perform on other major events.
“To tell the truth I really don’t know, because I work very hard and I put out good music and everybody in the music business knows I am a very talented performer. Probably I am getting a fight, I don’t know, but I am not worried about it, I am sure my work will speak for itself,” said the deejay who currently is enjoying a buzz with 48 Years.
However, the mother of three remains focused on the growth of her career, and is planning to step up the promotion of her debut album In My Glory, which was released a little over a month ago on iTune. Ruffi-Ann says that she hopes that the release of the album will help to push her further into the overseas markets, especially in Europe.
She is currently preparing to shoot the music video for the latest single off the album Forty-Eight Years. Also on the cards for Ruffi-Ann right now is an upcoming tour, which is being organised by her management team.
