Tiger Woods’ divorce is finalised & could cost him up to $750 million

Tiger Woods paid a heavy price for his cheating on Monday when he was divorced from his estranged wife Elin Nordegren. Details of the financial settlement the former Swedish model will receive have not been revealed – however, estimates range from $100 million (£65 million) to $750 million (£480 million).

She signed a prenuptial agreement when they wed in 2006, but it was renegotiated in the wake of the sex scandal as Woods tried desperately to save his marriage following his affairs with up to 19 women. They were both at Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Florida, as the marriage was described during a ten-minute hearing as “irretrievably broken”. Woods, 34, will share custody of their two children, Sam, three, and one-year-old Charlie. He and Elin are understood to have completed a four-hour parenting course each. The divorce comes nine months after the golfer crashed his car outside their home in Orlando, setting off an explosive flurry of lurid revelations about his cheating with a string of mistresses. The scandal led to Woods taking a five-month sabbatical from golf to seek rehabilitation treatment for sex addiction and cost him millions in lost endorsements. Friends said they are back on speaking terms because they are determined to raise their children together without living under the shadow of his misbehaviour. They reportedly travelled together to court yesterday in a private jet for the half-hour flight from Orlando, where they both live in separate mansions. In return for the massive financial payout, Miss Nordegren has allegedly agreed to stay silent about her marriage. In return, she has barred Woods from exposing their children to any of his girlfriends except in the event that he remarries.

Lady GaGa adds a little ‘nunsense’ to her already outrageous stage show

Lady GaGa isn’t one to hold back when it comes to causing controversy. The 24-year-old performer is known for her outrageous on-stage and off-stage outfits, naked photo shoots and generally bizarre persona, so it was no surprise to see her following in the footsteps of the original queen of controversy, Madonna, by donning a nun’s habit as she performed in Tacoma, Washington last night. Naturally, this was no run-of-the-mill nun’s habit, as it was made of see-through plastic, showing her nude-coloured underwear and some criss-cross plasters over her breasts. Madonna sparked outrage from religious groups with the release of her fourth album, Like A Prayer, in 1989. The video for the title song drew heavily on religious symbolism with Madonna dancing seductively in front of burning crosses, stigmata, statues crying blood and a dream about making love to a saint. This isn’t the first time GaGa has drawn comparisons with Madonna: her video for her hit song Alejandro appeared as a homage to the older singer, with dancing in front of burning crosses and an underwear-clad GaGa dominating a scantily clad dancer tied to a bed.

Shipshape Beyoncé basks in the sun on an incredible luxury yacht

They earned an estimated $150 million between them last year, so Beyoncé and Jay-Z decided to splash some of their hard-earned cash on a lavish summer getaway this week. The power couple were spotted holidaying aboard a huge luxury yacht off the French Riviera with friends and family. Dressed in a Fifties-style floral bikini, Beyoncé soaked up the sun on the top deck of the cruiser. The 28-year-old topped off her look with oversized sunglasses and gold hoop earrings as she listened to tunes with a set of headphones. She was later joined by her 40-year-old husband, who sheltered from the cool sea breeze in a fluffy white towel, and a young boy, thought to be her five-year-old nephew Daniel. The energetic young companion was seen jumping around the pair as they tried to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet. The pair plan to have children of their own, but they seem to be in no rush.

When quizzed about her plans for pregnancy, The Single Ladies singer said earlier this month: “No dates, no times — it will happen when I am ready.”
