Eat, Pray, Love with the WLI
It was a celebration of sisterhood and style as the city chicsters flocked to the Palace Cineplex, Sovereign Centre, for the premiere of Eat, Pray, Love — an Elizabeth Gilbert memoir-turned-flick starring the inimitable Julia Roberts.
The movie describes one woman’s search for fulfilment across Italy, India and Indonesia and explores the unpredictability of life and love.
The premiere, hosted by the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) in association with First Caribbean, was an ambitious philanthropic effort in aid of the Mary Issa Clinic at the Voluntary Organisation for the Upliftment of Children (VOUCH). Guests mingled ahead of the screening, catching up over cocktails courtesy of Wray & Nephew and fare by Akbar and the Jamaica Pegasus; naturally our lens had to record the highlights.
