“Damn I’m lucky!” Jessica Simpson tweets

She’s never been particularly lucky in love, but it now seems Jessica Simpson has hit the jackpot. The 30-year-old star posted a picture of herself with boyfriend Eric Johnson on her Twitter page with the caption: “I met a wonderful man. Damn I’m lucky!”

The photo showed Jessica, dressed in a sleek red dress, gazing up adoringly at her American football star beau. Jessica, who has previously dated Dallas Cowboy star Tony Romo and musician John Mayer, began dating Johnson in May, three months after he split from his wife, and she couldn’t be happier with the relationship, according to sister Ashlee. Asked about her sister’s love life, Ashlee said: “She is happy, so we are all really happy. Her happiness is the most important thing to me.” Jessica has a history of posting pictures of herself with her boyfriends on Twitter. In August, she treated fans to another glimpse of her love life when she tweeted a photograph of her and Eric kissing. She accompanied the shot with the caption: “Romance 101… getting kissed by my Yalie… me not looking so smart… 🙂 but Yum!” Jessica shocked the world in 2005 when it was announced she was splitting from Nick Lachey after three years of marriage. The former pair, whose lives had been documented in MTV reality TV show Newlyweds, had appeared to be the perfect couple before they made the surprise announcement. Jessica said shortly after the divorce that it was one of the hardest things she has ever been through. “Once you do that, you feel complete — and that’s the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person. I loved everything about marriage, but things happen and people grow apart,” she said.

A blooming Lily Allen shows off her pregnancy bump at the British premiere of Tamara Drewe

She has kept her pregnancy bump under wraps since she announced she was expecting her first child last month, but on Monday night, Lily Allen proudly showed off her burgeoning stomach as she attended the UK premiere of Tamara Drewe in London.

The 25-year-old singer looked radiant in a black maxi dress as she posed for the cameras outside the Odeon Leicester Square, her bump all too clear to see. And she unwittingly managed to draw all the attention away from the film’s star Gemma Arterton, who arrived at the premiere in a simple and chic long cream dress.

The flashbulb frenzy seemed to focus on Lily, who is due to give birth early next year. She was one of the many guests at the premiere of the film, which was produced by her mother Alison Owen. The film is based on a weekly comic strip in the Guardian newspaper’s Review section by Posy Simmonds, which is itself based on a modern reworking of Thomas Hardy’s novel Far From The Madding Crowd. Gemma, 24, stars as Tamara Drewe, a young journalist who returns to her hometown in Dorset and discovers that her childhood home is being put up for sale. The movie is due for release this Friday.

Joe and Nick Jonas break from their gruelling tour to compete in charity run

They’re in the midst of a gruelling nationwide tour across America, and have been busy promoting their latest movie Camp Rock 2, but Joe Jonas and his younger brother Nick still managed to find the energy to complete a five-kilometre fun run on Sunday. The two youngest Jonas Brothers didn’t look like they had broken a sweat as they posed with their medals following the charity run in Florida. Clad in black sports gear, Nick, 17, and his 21-year-old brother Joe looked proud after completing the race in South Florida in aid of his Change for the Children Foundation to benefit the Special Olympics. Earlier, tight security had to keep a stampede of screaming teenage girls from encroaching on the duo as they competed. However, their older brother Kevin was absent from the run — perhaps having a well-earned rest. The run, which raised $95,000 for the charity, topped off a good week for the Jonas Brothers. Their Disney TV movie — Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam — attracted eight million viewers when it aired in the US on Sunday. The American leg of the Jonas Brothers tour will wrap up later this month.
