Fashion’s Night Out takes New York by storm!
Catwalk queen: Naomi Campbell demonstrates her fiercest walk on the runway at the Lincoln Centre.

Fashion’s Night Out takes New York by storm!

It’s one of the most highly anticipated fashion moments of the season, and with the who’s who of the industry turning out for the event, Fashion’s Night Out did not disappoint. Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bundchen battled it out on the catwalk, but all eyes were planted on the glamorous front row where Gossip Girls Leighton Meester and Blake Lively stole the show. Leighton, 24, wore a cutaway Versus by Versace dress paired with Christian Louboutin shoe-boots. The bold sartorial choice failed to pay off, however, as unfortunately for her, it was co-star Blake Lively who got the doyenne of US Vogue Anna Wintour’s approval — and when it comes to fashion — that’s the only vote that counts.

Neptunes producer and singer Pharrell Williams serenaded the models for the show, and other music included a mash-up of Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York and Jay Z and Alicia Keys Empire State of Mind (Part II). The show was divided into trends deemed by Vogue editors to be the must-haves for the fall.

Lady GaGa causes outrage by posing naked in raw meat bikini

Even by her standards, it is a little raw, and just when you thought it was impossible for her to be any more outrageous, Lady GaGa has gone further than ever with her latest shocking outfit. The Poker Face singer has posed for Japanese Men’s Vogue in a bikini made entirely of red meat, prompting a furious response from animal rights campaigners. “Lady GaGa’s job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body, no matter how beautifully it is presented, it is still flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that’s the look they were going for-they achieved it,” said Ingrid Newkirk, president of animal rights campaign group PETA.

Bob Marley’s youngest daughter pleads guilty to drug charge

The youngest child of reggae legend Bob Marley has admitted to growing marijuana in her Philadelphia-area home. The Daily Local News of West Chester reports that 29-year-old Makeda Jahnesta Marley pleaded guilty on Tuesday to having nearly a dozen large marijuana plants inside her home in Caln, about 30 miles west of Philadelphia. Sentencing is scheduled for October. Marley’s attorney, Thomas Schindler, told The Associated Press that his client will seek probation.

Let me entertain you: Singer Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes entertained the crowd while the stunning fashions kicked off fashion week nicely.
