Dr Anissa Holmes channels her excitement into the perfect smile (naturally, since she’s a dentist) as she shares on the process of moving into her new office space at 1D -1E Braemar Avenue. She’s sitting, most chirpily, at Cuddy’z where she frequently flashes her pearly whites in between sips.

What are you sipping?

Cranberry juice and vodka.

What kind of day are you having?

A good one, I must say, it’s been quite productive.

Socialite or homebody?

I like to go out with my friends; my favourite thing to do is go to the beach, Maiden Cay, with my friends and the children and just enjoy each other’s company.

Flats or stilettos?

Stilettos at night, flats for work.

Jeans or LBD?

Jeans.

What’s your style?

Island-bohemian-chic.

Who does your hair?

Nicole at Magic Mirror on Ardenne Road.

Who does your nails?

Muffet at the same salon.

What perfume are you spraying?

Prada.

What’s in your handbag?

My BlackBerry, hairbrush, keys and dental floss (laughs).

What’s on your iPod?

John Mayer, Redemption Song by Rihanna, Sade’s Soldier of Love and I’m from New Orleans so I gotta have some Lil’ Wayne (laughs) and oh… Beres Hammond and Gyptian.

What’s your idea of the perfect date?

Having dinner at The Caves in Negril.

What’s your idea of the perfect man?

Educated, warm, honest and he must be a good father.

What makes you smile?

My husband, my children and friends.

What has moving offices been like for you?

It’s been great, I can finally do what I love to do: changing people’s smiles. The new office is a cosmetic dentistry centre… so it’s absolutely magical that I can now have a new place to share with people, see them gain confidence month after month (smiles).

What projects are you currently working on?

Setting up all the technology at the office, patients will be able to use an iPad to key in their information; it’s a completely paperless system.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

‘Always be prepared’.

And 10 years from now?

Happy with friends, proud of the development my kids would have made and overseeing a successful business.
