Tucker’s Bridge has fallen down
TUCKER, St James — RESIDENTS of the Tucker community here are calling on their Member of Parliament Clive Mullings to replace the footbridge which used to provide the sole means of access to the main road.
The bridge, which was smashed by the torrents of water occasioned by Tropical Storm Nicole, has been replaced by a makeshift bridge which is dangerously fragile.
“Everytime you step on it it bow down, this can’t work, we need help desperately for the over 1000 people who live in Tucker, said Winston Barnes who toured the community with Avery Rosegreen, the Peoples’ National Party’s councillor for the Mount Salem division.
Rosegreen told the Observer West that she will not rest until the residents of Tucker are afforded some form of relief.
