Courteney Cox separates from husband David Arquette after eleven years

PEOPLE POST — Oct 14

David Arquette stunned listeners when he phoned into the Howard Stern radio show yesterday morning to candidly discuss his separation from wife Courteney Cox. And in a bizarre turn of events, the 39-year-old actor admitted to being intimate with waitress and aspiring actress Jasmine Waltz, 28. He told Stern: “I did have sex with her one time, maybe twice… my sexual encounter made me feel pretty manly.”

Despite his admission, the Scream actor insisted that he had not been unfaithful to his wife of 11 years, whom he described as “an emotional being” and “an amazing woman”. He said that ‘part of the terms of our separation was that I was allowed to see other people and so was she’. He addressed claims that Cox, 46, has already moved on with her Cougar Town co-star, Brian Van Holt, 40, revealing that they were involved in an ’emotional affair’ but was not aware if it had yet become physical. As Arquette went public over their encounter, Waltz broke cover to attend her no doubt daily gym sessions dressed in a flimsy vest, leggings and a low-cut sports bra. On she her return, she dashed inside her Los Angeles home after locking the doors of her BMW car. Waltz is somewhat of a fixture on the celebrity dating circuit, having previously enjoyed dalliances with TV host Ryan Seacrest and singer Jesse McCartney. She was accused of punching Lindsay Lohan in an argument over reality TV star Doug Reinhardt earlier this year. Cox and Arquette issued a joint statement announcing their ‘trial separation’ after US magazine InTouch Weekly reported the pair had split. Soon after, reports surfaced linking the former Friends star’s husband with the 28-year-old waitress and actress. Cox and Arquette met in 1996 while filming Scream and were married three years later in San Francisco. Their daughter Coco is six years old.

Tearful Christina Aguilera seeks solace from a friend as five-year marriage ends

It’s been the week of celebrity break-ups. First David Arquette and Courteney Cox and now Christina Aguilera has reportedly split from her husband of nearly five years, Jordan Bratman. The 29-year-old Grammy Award winner was seen in a tearful embrace with a good friend yesterday as the news broke that she has separated from her 33-year-old music executive husband. With her unruly blonde curls covered by a brown cap, Christina was looking decidedly dressed down in sweat pants and a hooded cardigan as she emerged from a large white SUV and fell into the arms of a friend. Her heart-to-heart came as she released a statement, confirming she was separated from her husband. Aguilera told People magazine: “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.” The news of the break-up, which apparently took place during the summer, was first reported by Us Weekly on Tuesday. “They have been separated for a few months, they are now living apart and they will see how that goes, but that they have not yet decided on whether they will divorce,” a source close to Aguilera told the magazine.

Lauren Conrad goes from intern to cover girl in the November issue of Teen Vogue

These days it’s not enough to simply be a reality TV star. If you want to turn your fifteen minutes of fame into a career, then you have to learn to branch out. And that’s exactly what Lauren Conrad has done. The 24-year-old, who first came to prominence on TV in Laguna Beach and then on The Hills, is also a fashion designer, book author and model, gracing the November cover of Teen Vogue, where she once interned. The multi-faceted Conrad imparts some words of wisdom for anyone wanting to break into the fashion industry: “Get a thick skin and get it fast because there’s a pecking order,” she said in a clip from the video documenting her photo shoot. She was also happy to discuss a variety of topics including her new Reality TV show, which she promises will be very different from The Hills and Laguna Beach. “It’s not going to revolve around my personal life. This time the focus is going to be on my job, and while that’s still personal to me, I will also have a part of my life that can be mine,” she said.
