NCB, ActionCoach gives 40 SMEs business training
Over forty of National Commercial Bank’s (NCB’s) small and medium enterprise (SME) customers received business skills training and useful advice during a series of seminars, conducted by the bank in collaboration with the world’s number one business coaching firm, ActionCOACH.
The seminar was organised recently for the NCB’s SME customers as a part of the ongoing efforts to provide them with useful information and practical support.
Certified Business Coach and the franchise owner of ActionCOACH in Jamaica, Marcia Woon Choy conducted the seminars.
Woon Choy introduced the concept of the ActionCOACH’s ‘Fourteen Points of Culture’ which reinforced to the group why they started their business and critical elements of success. The Points include: Commitment, Ownership, Integrity, Excellence, Communication, Success, Education, Team Work, Balance, Fun, Systems, Consistency, Gratitude and Abundance.
Bernadette Barrow, assistant general manager, NCB small and medium enterprise unit asserted that NCB will continue to give opportunities to their business customers, particularly in the area of capacity building.
Totally Male’s Sandra Samuels, a 2009 NCB Nation Builder award recipient, stated — “This seminar reinforced some of the ideals that are necessary for any business to succeed. There were specific instructions for how to become more profitable and visualize those often unnoticed loopholes. We were reminded that when things seem a bit dismal it does not have to become a lost cause but there are ways to reenergise and recommit. Very important, is the need to employ ideal staff, putting pen to paper and planning with timelines.”
