Outstanding leadership
Dear Editor,
I would like to publicly commend outgoing president of the Nurses Association of Jamaica, Edith Allwood-Anderson, for her outstanding leadership of that organisation. If most of our elected leaders, some of whom have despised her because of her forthrightness and in-your-face approach, had worked as hard as she did in her five-year term, then Jamaica would be a better place for us all.
Indeed, she displayed the qualities of an excellent leader: discipline, stick-to-itiveness, courage, perseverance, commitment and zeal. She is undoubtedly one of Jamaica’s modern-day unsung heroines.
Walk good, indomitable Edith. Keep walking the talk. You are one great, strong Jamaican woman.
