Black Lion take aim at Dunbeholden
IRISH PEN, St Catherine — Leaders Black Lion look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they host Dunbeholden in a fourth round fixture of the LIME/St Catherine Major League at Irish Pen today.
In other games, second-placed Rodwood FC play DB Basovak at Waterford High; promoted McCook’s Pen battle Royal Lakes at McCook’s Pen; Spanish Town Police travel to the Albion Oval for a date with Albion, while Cumberland and Wanderers square-off in a bottom-of-the-table clash at Passage Fort.
Black Lion sit atop the table on seven points, two ahead of Rodwood, and should be favourites to take all three points against seventh-placed Dunbeholden, who are on three points, but have a game in hand.
All games begin at 3:00 pm.
Meanwhile, Fraziers Whip, despite playing to a 1-1 stalemate with Travellers FC at Passage Fort on Sunday, still managed to stay atop the Division One.
They are on four points, the same as Invaders FC, who outscored Upfront FC 4-3, but with a superior goal average.
In the other Division One game played at the weekend, Christian Pen and Racing United drew 1-1.
