Loss sends Manchester High packing
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Manchester High’s run in the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition ended yesterday after they were beaten 1-0 by Munro College in a rescheduled Group Three Inter-zone game at Brooks Park, Mandeville.
Kaneil Harrison’s second half goal gave Munro the win and three points that moved them into second place behind Lennon High. who are on six points.
It was a good win for Munro who were hammered 5-1 by Lennon in a game played in Santa Cruz on Friday.
With one point from two games, Manchester High’s chances of advancing have evaporated after they had earlier drawn 1-1 against Manning’s on Saturday.
