Mariah Carey gets an early Christmas present as her festive album goes top ten… and it’s only November!

She’s a self-confessed lover of the Christmas season.

And now, Carey has received a very special early seasonal present.

The star’s new festive album Merry Christmas II You has topped both the US R&B chart and the holiday chart, and is also in fourth place on the national chart.

The album, which was released on October 29, features covers of Christmas classics, plus four original Christmas songs, including the single Oh Santa.

The star, who recently announced she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first baby next year, expressed her delight on her Twitter page on Thursday.

She wrote, “THANK U!! 2 everyone out there 4 all the festive early Christmas love w/ my new CD Merry Christmas II You x0x0 very exciting!”

And she insists that, despite her looks, she has the same insecurities as any other woman, especially when it comes to taking her clothes off on-screen. But she makes herself think positive thoughts.

Former pornstar Jameson quits industry for her kids

Jameson has revealed that giving birth to twins sparked her decision to quit her lucrative career as a porn star, and says she won’t even do ‘lads mags’ anymore.

The former sex movie worker — widely acknowledged as the world’s most famous ‘adult entertainment performer’ — says she felt that giving up her job and covering up was the only way she could give 19-month-old boys Jesse and Journey a ‘normal’ upbringing.

And when it comes to telling her sons what their mother’s job used to be, Jenna, 36, told the December issue of W Magazine: “I really don’t think I need to say, ‘Mommy was a porn star’.”

“I feel like they’re going to know me and think, ‘Mommy loved us so much that she quit everything and made us her job’.”

Jameson is now enjoying a peaceful life in the countryside of California with partner Ultimate Fighting Championship star Tito Ortiz, 35, after selling her US$30-million porn empire to Playboy in 2006.

She added: “Here, I’m not ‘Jenna Jameson’ — I’m just one of the moms who walk a double stroller every day.”

The Las Vegas native became a huge success and went on to found her own business Club Jenna in 2000, which started off as a website and soon branched into making its own movies.

Jameson has been gradually crossing over into mainstream culture for a few years. She’s had a variety of acting roles in movies and on television, and is said to be considering a singing and acting stage career. It’s been reported that she’s considering making her Broadway debut in the musical Rock Of Ages.
