Necessary Luxury – Leighton Davis
I depend on my Digicel BlackBerry Bold 2 to stay in touch whether through e-mails, phone calls or BB Messenger (especially in those situations where I can’t speak). It also keeps me abreast of all my appointments by reminding me of dates and times, no matter where I am.
Though I don’t consider God’s word a luxury, but rather a gift freely given, the Holy Bible is essential in keeping me grounded throughout the day. I keep one in my office, car and at home.
My laptop is never far from my side, and from it I work on my proposals or just do the social rounds on Facebook and Twitter. Paired with my laptop, the Digicel 4G dongle facilitates my being online 24/7, whether in meetings or on the road.
Then there is my Visa Business card — useful for those lunch meetings and incidentals. It’s always handy to have a company card around. Cheque, please!
There is, too, my FX Traders Xclusive card — it’s new in my pocket and I am anxious to use it to secure discounts when buying USD or purchasing items from the various retail stores with which it partners.
My Sony A300 camera is another of my necessary luxuries… look out for my lens, you might just appear on the pages of Wealth Magazine.
