As stylish as it was intimate with sufficient nip in the air, the launch of A Starry Night, held Wednesday last on the undulating lawns of Geon Group boss Reynold Scott’s Upper St Andrew home, offered a foretaste of the December 3 event (sponsored by the Jamaica Observer and Jamaica National). The biennial experience (with proceeds going to the Pringle and Mount Olivet homes in St Mary) will usher patrons into a fantasy — a mystical, musical cruise with ‘five-star’ culinary offerings from the Orient, Morocco, India, West Africa and The Rock. The exquisite fare tantalised taste buds while the sweet treats from Marcia Scott and Joan Young-Davis forced many to yield to delicious temptation and even more eager for the ship to drop anchor at Jamaica House — 7:00 pm Friday, December 3, at what will undoubtedly be the premier event heralding the 2010 Yuletide Season.
